Offline phylogenetic tree workspace

Cladewright

Inspect Newick and NEXUS trees, join trait metadata, audit topology readiness, reroot clades, and export a complete research packet.

A complete tree-review desk

Cladewright keeps source trees, traits, checks, interpretation notes, and export files together on the device. No account, subscription, advertising, analytics SDK, or network service is required.

Local tree library

Import files or pasted text, keep multiple projects, duplicate before editing, and start from worked Newick and NEXUS examples.

Strict parsing

Resolve quoted labels, nested comments, support values, branch lengths, tree blocks, and NEXUS TRANSLATE tables without silently replacing bad data.

Two layouts

Compare rectangular and radial views using topology or branch-length scale, ladderize branches, and collapse below a chosen support value.

Focused inspection

Search taxa, select nodes, focus on a clade, inspect descendants and lengths, then reroot at an internal branch.

Traits and audit

Import or edit color-coded trait rows and check names, duplicates, lengths, coverage, and interpretation-note readiness.

Reviewable exports

Share normalized Newick, NEXUS, trait CSV, scalable SVG, a four-page PDF, or one complete packet.

The actual app in use

This tree workspace is captured directly from the current 13-inch iPad build.

Method boundary

Cladewright inspects supplied topology and metadata. Inference method, alignment quality, model choice, rooting assumptions, and biological conclusions remain the responsibility of the user and source study.
